Egg Nog French Toast

What better time of year for Egg Nog French Toast than Christmastime! I know you’ve probably got some Egg Nog in your fridge & well let’s face it, you can only drink so much of it (well at least I can only drink so much of it LOL)

I LOVE French Toast. More so I LOVE Baked French Toast. Hubs is the French Toast maker in the house & once he started baking it I went ga ga for it! It has more texture on the outside & the inside is still light & fluffy! Perfect. I like to serve mine with a side of Bacon, because let’s face it, bacon makes everything bettah! And a whole lotta syrup, and yes, it’s completely calorie free, as is everything else on my blog (tee hee,) But no complaining, it’s Christmastime, eat what you want! Those New Years resolutions will be here before we know it & I’ll be forced to throw up some veggie recipes on here (well that is until I come to my carbohydrate senses again LOL)

Baci e’ Buone Feste!

What you’ll need:
1 loaf of Italian Bread – Sliced Thick
1 pint (473ml) bottle of Egg Nog
3 large eggs – beaten
Maple Syrup – Garnish Optional
Cinnamon – Garnish Optional
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two cookie sheets with cooking spray & set aside. Into a pie pan place your egg nog & beaten eggs. Mix together. Dip your bread slices into mixture just enough to coat them well on both sides (you don’t want them dripping wet) Transfer slices to cookie sheets (leaving space between). Continue until are slices are complete. Bake for approx 20-25 minutes or until golden & done (cooking time will depend upon the thickness of your bread)
Serve immediately with Maple Syrup & a sprinkling of Cinnamon!
Buon Appetito!
