10 in 2010
Well, it’s here…2010! A whole brand new decade! & with each new year comes reflection and the dreaded resolutions! Of course one of mine was to get healthier. What does that mean? That means I want to eat better, feel better & well lets just be honest here, look better in my clothes. Yes, I said it & I feel better for saying it.
I’m not one to get on a scale. I don’t measure that way. Scales to me, are SUPER depressing. You can work work work and then get on the stinking scale & it’s UP – NOT down – UP! What the….So that is my reason for NEVER getting on a scale. Okay, so I said never, that’s not true, when I’m forced to at the doctor I do, but I don’t look. I know by the tone of my Dr. if I’m on track or not LOL… Anyway, it works for me & that’s what matters.
So when I heard my friend Lori from Recipe Girl started tweeting about her 10 in 2010 Project I knew I wanted to participate. It’s a great idea & well I need to be held accountable, or else, let’s just face it, I’m going to slip. I’m guilty and I’m bettin so are a few of you. In a nutshell, I’m going to have these wonderful posts/updates for you on SATURDAYS for 10 weeks (yep that’s 10 in 2010, see how that works), so as to not freak anyone out they will only be on Saturdays. I, after all, could NEVER (& this time when I say never I mean NEVER) give up my Carbs! Ah, my joyous Pasta, Risottos, Breads.. I’m drooling… seriously, I’m going to have to wipe off my keyboard.
I want to say for the record that this isn’t a DIET! I hate that word. I mean after all, the word DIE is in diet so it can’t be good tee hee. I’m going to work on my meal portion sizes, going to try to incorporate some more veggies in and yes even add the most dreaded word of all EXERCISE into my daily routine.
Whew, that’s a tall order & I know it. But I’m going to keep it real and let you in on the good, the bad and well yeah the ugly! LOL
