Crostini con purea di melanzane e fagioli {Eggplant Cannellini Bean and Prosciutto Crostini}

Eggplant are one of my favorite vegetables, ehem FRUITS. Yes, Eggplants are indeed fruits. A concept that is hard to wrap my head around. But regardless they are scrummy. And highly overlooked if you ask me. There always seem to be excess amounts of eggplant in my markets. I think perhaps this could be because some might be a little intimidated by this curvaceous and vibrant fruit, unsure of what to do with them.
{Gluten Free} Peanut Butter and Nutella Thumbprint Cookies

It seems I have been falling down on posting Nutella recipes. I know, I know, *GASP* what is wrong with me? It’s not {I promise} for lack of consumption. You all know by now that I am a Nutella-holic and it goes without saying that there is ALWAYS Nutella in our house ; ) It just seems it’s being consumed far too quickly and when I have an idea for a recipe there simply isn’t enough to work with *sigh* but I did manage to reserve a little and wanted to share one of our favorite cookie recipes.
Bellini Surgelato {Frozen Peach Bellini}

To me, a Bellini is the quintessential Italian cocktail. It’s refreshing, beautiful and oh so peachy! I’ve decided to do a twist on the classic with this recipe. A traditional Bellini is made using white peach puree, Prosecco and sometimes a dab of cherry juice to give it that glorious glow. This genius of a drink was first concocted by Giuseppe Cipriani, the founder of the infamous Harry’s Bar in Venezia {Venice}.
Sorbetto di Cocomero {Watermelon & Lime Sorbet}

Before we get started I just want to tell you that no I am indeed NOT smoking crack, this is a WATERMELON sorbet. Don’t adjust your screens. The color is perfect ; ) Although I must admit when I sliced that big ole melon in half and it was YELLOW I was slightly confused myself. You see, I had never seen a YELLOW Watermelon before. Thank goodness that upon further investigation there was a little tiny sticker on the rind that read “I’m YELLOW inside” Whew, I felt better…now I didn’t have to throw the whole thing away LOL

In fact the whole company from my initial contact to their marketing department {Hi Jeff} to the owners themselves are MITICO {awesome} I’m just going to go ahead and throw it out there, because that’s how I roll…It is THE BEST gelato I have had outside of Italy. Yep, there it is in black and white. I said it and I mean it!
I’ve literally been dreaming about it. I’ve been dreaming of making my way through each and every flavor. Yes, the sacrifices I would make to bring back this news to share with you my favorite readers ; ) I’m currently trying to find a way to take the super sweet Simona up on her offer of a tour of the G.S. Spiedini alla Salsiccia {Sausage Kebabs glazed with balsamic and fig preserves}

It’s grilling season! And it’s in high gear here at our house. There is something about the smell of the meat {or veggies} wafting off of the grill! You always know when someone is grilling {that can be a good or a bad thing LOL} And who doesn’t love food on sticks? I mean really, you put anything on a stick and voila instant hit! These spiedini {which is Italian for kebabs} are no exception!

Non posso dirti quanto che AMO il gelato! Infatti, la prima cosa che DEVO avere quando torno in Italia e GELATO! E’ la verita’…. Oh I’m sorry, I get SO excited when I talk about gelato that I just start naturally speaking in Italian. In fact, the first thing that I MUST have when I’m in Italy is GELATO! And once you’ve experienced it, I’m pretty sure you’ll feel the same! It’s THAT good!
Gelato alla Fragola con Balsamico e Basilico {Strawberry Balsamic & Basil Gelato}

Grab a spoon, you’re going to want some of this! I know at first, it might be a stretch for some, I mean putting basil and balsamic in gelato? But trust me, once you have a bite, you’ll be sold! I had been wanting to start experimenting with different flavor combinations with my gelato and was finally given that last little push after talking to bff cookielicious. You know, my fantabulous friend who does all the behind the scenes stuff here at bell’alimento & makes things sparkle and run smoothly {and make me look way better than I deserve ; )} ! She’s truly the pc princess!
Panna Cotta al Limoncello {Limoncello Panna Cotta}

Panna Cotta is simply cooked cream *swoon* What’s not to love right? Obviously we do lurve it! You might remember that we have already done a traditional Vanilla Panna Cotta and of course knowing me you knew there would be a Nutella Panna Cotta - check! And now to add to our Panna Cotta repertoire is *rubbing hands together* Limoncello Panna Cotta. That’s right, we’re adding one just for the adults. If you love Limoncello, you’ll love this!

I am so very excited to introduce you all to MAC! Say hi everyone ; ) She has just recently started up a new PODCAST site called DISHIN’ IN THE KITCHEN. In fact, I planted squash in my garden this year PRIMARILY for the blossoms! I’m crazy like that LOL. You can eat them {once cleaned of course} on their own or stuff them as we’ve done here.
