Ah polenta. I am definitely a polenta person. I love how many ways you can prepare polenta. I never ever get tired of it. I love making the polenta into little “cakes”.  You can form them into ANY shape and then grill them, fry them {love the crunchy exterior and the creamy interior} or even bake them. Endless possibilities. And bonus points because you can make it WAY ahead of time ; ) Making it perfect for dinner parties.

Project Food Blog: Challenge 3 “Luxury Dinner Party”

*cue the music* “Celebrate good times come on…”! We’ve crossed another challenge hurdle {thank YOU so much for voting for us.  I can’t tell you enough how appreciative we are of your support!}, and now YOU’RE INVITED! That’s right, even if only virtually ; ) The next challenge is to hold a dinner party for friends and family! Not just any dinner party, a “Luxury Dinner Party”.  For some that might mean caviar, kobe beef, foie gras {all extremely tasty and things, mind you, I wouldn’t turn down} BUT for ME a luxury dinner party is simply good food, shared with good family/friends! Zucca al Forno {Baked Squash}

Butternut squash are quite odd looking but are incredibly tasty! One goes a long way. They are after all HUGE. When in season, you can find them in almost every produce market and obviously with their size they’re not hard to miss ; ) If you’ve never cooked with them, what are you waiting for, not only are they good for you  they’re just plain GOOD!
