Polenta Pasticciata ai Funghi e Gamberi {Polenta with Mushroom and Shrimp Sauce}

Ah polenta. I am definitely a polenta person. I love how many ways you can prepare polenta. I never ever get tired of it. I love making the polenta into little “cakes”.  You can form them into ANY shape and then grill them, fry them {love the crunchy exterior and the creamy interior} or even bake them. Endless possibilities. And bonus points because you can make it WAY ahead of time ; ) Making it perfect for dinner parties.

Polenta is a staple in Northern Italy and I grew up eating it constantly. In every way shape and form. Mushrooms are just a natural pairing to polenta. When it was time for my newest Mushroom Channel recipe I knew I wanted it to be paired with polenta. Polenta pasticciata ai funghi e gamberi is simply polenta cakes slathered with a mushroom and shrimp sauce} Who wouldn’t want that ; ) It’s creamy, crunchy, earthy, and you’ll be hard pressed not to want seconds.

    I am in awe of you with every post, Paula! You are an incredible cook! I love polenta, too – any and every way… but rarely make it because my husband does not like it at all. These pics are yummy. I want to go to a cocktail party you are doing the treats for! :)
