Nudo – Olive Tree Adoption GIVEAWAY

I mentioned in my Holiday Gift Guide post how much I LOVE to give. I also listed Nudo as one of my gift suggestions. I mentioned them because I LOVE their olive oils and gift sets and think their tree adoptions are pure genius! And now I’m PLEASED as punch to be able to put them both together and GIVE AWAY one of the most amazing, cutting edge, cool gifts evah! That’s right, we’ve teamed up with NUDO, who have generously offered to gift {ehem disclaimer} ONE of you LUCKY READERS a year’s adoption to one of their olive tree’s. *and the crowd goes wild*

In case you haven’t heard of Nudo {gasp} here’s a brief summary from their site “Nudo is an olive grove. And part of it can be yours Adopt one of its trees for a year and you’ll receive all the produce from your tree. Imagine dunking your bread in your own oil from your own tree thousands of miles away on a hillside in Italy.It’s delicious, it’s good for the world and you get to show off to your friends. Hang the consequences. Adopt an olive tree.”

So you’re ready to adopt are you ; ) You simply visit their site, choose from one of their many stunning groves and once you’ve chosen your tree, the first thing you’ll receive is an adoption certificate, to make you official, and your tree information booklet. Then over the course of the year you’ll receive TWO more packages, one in the spring and the other one in the fall, containing all the produce from your tree. We say “your” tree but we actually collect your tree’s harvest with about 50 of its neighbors – to give us enough olives to press in one go. Think of it as being about the society rather than the individual.

Once you’ve adopted your tree you can go and see it, water it, even hug it. {of course the trip isn’t included, I’m no Oprah sorry}. They can even give you updates on how your tree is doing. Sweet right ; )
