ROMA! Through the eyes of Bertolli!

Bella Roma. One of my favorite places on earth. The city is completely magical and if you’ve never been, it’s even more stunning in person than the pictures you have seen. Every time I visit Rome I view the city in a different light. I can hardly contain my excitement as I’ll be arriving in bella ROMA in just a few days, and on this trip I will be seeing Rome through the eyes of BERTOLLI.

I’m going on a SECRET UNDERCOVER MISSION! While I can’t share all the details {yet – hello top secret in fact it’s SO top secret I won’t even find out until I get there ; )} I can tell you that Bertolli is launching a brand NEW PRODUCT this fall and you’ll be hearing about it EXCLUSIVELY from bell’alimento.

I’ve worked with Bertolli on several projects and I can tell you that they are a company that truly cares about their products.  “Bertolli is a brand that has brought authentic Italian food to your dinner table for more than 150 years. It’s a brand with a real heritage in Italy – founded in Lucca. Bertolli places a lot of emphasis on working with chefs to bring restaurant-quality Italian food to your table with authentic ingredients: including aged Parmesan, olive oil, fresh cream, vine-ripened cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs…the list goes on! And that’s why we spend time in Italy: to really learn about the latest Italian recipes, chefs and cooking trends.”

While in Rome, we’ll be learning all about the inspiration behind the new product. We’ll be visiting markets {that’s Campo dei Fiori pictured above}, meeting with Chef Michael – the innovation Chef for Bertolli, TASTING the exciting new PRODUCT, and we’ll even be popping by while they’re filming the TV commercial for the TOP SECRET product.

Of course I’ll be photographing and taking videos to share EVERYTHING with you! It goes without saying that we’ll be eating our way around the city and I’ll naturally be consuming my weight in gelato ; )

If you have any places in Rome you LOVE {or want to see} let me know in the comments, I’ll do my best to get a shot of it : ) We might even tweet fotos and you can guess where in Rome is bell’alimento ; )

Baci!

Disclaimer: Bertolli is covering my expenses for this trip. My opinions, however, are my own. Always have been, always will be.

Great, you’ll be in my city while I’ll be in Friuli.
I would have a long list of suggestions. At Castroni at Via Cola di Rienzo you find so many ingredients from Italy and abroad that you’ll be shocked.
Gelato? A recent and good address is Gelateria del Teatro along via dei Coronari.
I’ll suggest you even an amazing tea shop with a knowledgable owner: Biblioteq along via dei banchi vecchi 124. You can smell as many tea you want. I suggest you Rosa del Giappone. Tell him, in case, that you’re a friend of “la ragazza dei biscotti”:)

Just came back from 2 weeks in Rome. Wonderful! Any time we were near Santa Maria in Cosmedin it was closed! And I missed the bocca della verita! So that would be nice! Also a wonderful place called the Pastateca, right near the Spanish Steps on Via della Vite, 44. A place not to miss for the foodie!
