Kitchen Renovation: Installation Day

I’m super excited to be over the “demo & fix the demo damage” phase. The demo was definitely fun but repairing the damage was not. There was sheet rock dust EVERYWHERE. No one mentioned the sheer amount of sheet rock dust that would come with this process. So naturally I feel it’s my duty to tell you about it. Just in case you’re about to set out on your own reno adventure, get a mask and lots of plastic to drape so it doesn’t take over your house. Consider that my public service announcement for the week ; ) Now onto the fun stuff – appliances!

With all the dust gone, I can see the glimmering light bouncing off of our brand spanking new shiny stainless appliances. I feel like Christmas has come early, and it truly has thanks to KitchenAid.  A ginormous tractor trailer backed down our driveway and delivered sextuplets. I am the proud mamma of a complete KitchenAid kitchen.  They join their little sister, Ruby (7 quart KitchenAid ruby red stand mixer).  I might not ever leave my kitchen again. I am in love and yes, I think I have that new mamma glow. I confess, I cried. The delivery people must have thought I was crazy. Shoes, purses, and cooking equipment just get to me. What can I say?

Say hello to Ada … She’s a beauty isn’t she! Y’all do name your kitchen appliances don’t you?

Before the appliances arrived, we painted our cabinets black using Rustoleum Cabinet Tranformations. We think they’re sleek and sophisticated and are the perfect backdrop for the stainless.

Now a peek at our progress : (Forgive my flight attendant like tour. I’m still getting used to videos ; ) )

Stay tuned, up next: we’ll be finishing off the new section of cabinets, adding in the microwave wall oven and looking ahead to granite counter tops!

In case you missed the previous video posts:

Baci!

Disclaimer: KitchenAid provided me with a suite of KitchenAid appliances for my kitchen. I was not compensated for this campaign. My opinions are my own. Always have been. Always will be. I happen to believe that KitchenAid rocks. Period.
