Celebrate National Moscato Day with Gallo Family Vineyards
Having company over shouldn’t be stressful. I love to have a few nibblers out when my guests arrive so that we can catch up while I’m finishing up dinner and they don’t starve to death. I have a list of go to appetizers that I love to use depending on the season (and let’s face it how much time I have to prep) but one of the simplest and easiest is a no cook appetizer tray! It literally takes less than 3 minutes to pull together and will make you look like a supah star!
What goes better with an appetizer tray than wine? Duh ; ) It happens to be National Moscato Day, Wednesday May 9th. I’ll be raising a glass of this uber popular varietal and hope you’ll join me! If you know me you know I ENJOY wine. I cook with wine almost every meal and enjoy a glass with my meal. I tend to gravitate towards white wines, unless I’m in Italy and then I’m a red girl (a story for another day).
Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato is a light bodied table wine bursting with the delightful flavors of peach, honey and ripe citrus. And guess what it’s not at all expensive! The Gallo family has been making quality affordable wine for American families since 1933.
- Grissini wrapped with Prosciutto
- Bruschetta Crisps topped with basil leaf, half cherry tomato. Season with salt/pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.
- Castelvetrano olives
- cheese slices
So make yourself a little appetizer tray, pick up a bottle or two of Gallo Family Moscato (why not they’re so reasonably priced at a SRP of $5) and join us at our #gno Twitter party, on Wednesday May 9th from 9:00 – 10:00 pm EST where we’ll toast to National #MoscatoDay.
