The Great American Stand-Tacular

Country Time Lemonade Stand |

Are you thirsty? I mean who wouldn’t want to buy a glass or two of ice cold lemonade from those cuties? They worked really hard putting together their stand, and by working hard I mean they watched their Daddy dismantle palettes and scour through scrap wood, grab manly power tools and then after a little blood sweat and tears (okay maybe just sweat but that doesn’t sound as good) the boys had their very own lemonade stand. It’s over 6′ tall and on rolling casters. If you’re a parent of boys then you know I’m afraid that they’re going to try to ride that baby down a hill but until they figure that out (they’re boys how long can it be) they’re open for business in our driveway. Their stand is not only adorable, it’s to help support a very worthy cause. Country Time Lemonade has invited me and is inviting families nationwide to join in the fun and help launch the “Great American Lemonade Stand-tacular” this summer. Want to build your own lemonade stand? You can download a FREE “Stand Plan” on their Facebook page – a creative and user-friendly guide that gives parents all the information they need to help their kids build the best stand, while teaching them a little bit about business basics (love teachable moments). When you’re done be sure to upload a photo of it to their Great American Stand-tacular’s Facebook page this summer. Why? County Time will donate $5 (up to $50,000) to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to help fight childhood cancer for every family lemonade stand photo uploaded.

We ultimately went with classic lemonade for our stand. Did you know that Country Time Lemonade is available in four refreshing, down-home flavors including: classic Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade and Half & Half (half iced tea, half lemonade). With just a pitcher of water, some ice cubes and spoon, my kids and I can stir up an afternoon of fun for the entire neighborhood.

Now that summer’s out what better time than to join in the fun and build your own stand for a good cause! Country Time provides lemonade that everyone enjoys and its Great American Stand-tacular program also helps kids learn valuable lessons of entrepreneurship and giving back to others in need! Those are values that we definitely want to pass along to our kids!

If you happen to be in our hood stop by, I’m sure the boys will have their stand set up all summer and we’re donating all of our sales to Alex’s Lemonade Stand!

Can’t build a stand but still want to help? You can DONATE TO ALEX’S LEMONADE STAND FOUNDATION

Oh, how this makes my heart sing. Last year I heard little girls in my neighborhood calling out “ice-cold lemonade.” My heart sunk when they offered me “blue” or “grape.” Such a delight to spot real lemons in the midst of all that cuteness.
