Wonderful Winter Brunch
This post brought to you by Starbucks. Opinions are my own.
I love a good party don’t you? I believe the secret to a successful party, no matter the size, is planning. Yes homework it’s something we have even after we finish with school. I know that Christmas is now behind us and New Year’s Eve is literally right around the corner but I’m not ready to put away the festivities just yet. I’m looking ahead to a winter BRUNCH that I’m hosting next month. Brunch is that magical meal that lets you choose from your favorite breakfast items and lunch items. It’s a marriage made in meal heaven and perfect for easy entertaining.
THEME: First you must decide on a THEME. Every good party has a theme and ours is going to be a Rustic Winter Wonderland. Think less lumberjack and more glamping.
TABLE SCAPE: DIY Coffee stained napkins wrapped with twine and embellished with fresh rosemary that will sit a top crisp white plates, cups/saucers. Our centerpiece will be DIY rustic log candles with vanilla scented tea lights. We’ll mix in pieces of pewter ware for sparkle and shine and finish the table with fresh flowers to tie everything together.
TREATS: You can’t have brunch without coffee. That would just be wrong and we don’t like to be wrong do we? We’ll have a coffee bar set up for our guests to enjoy complete with a Keurig® Special Edition Brewing System and Starbucks® Vanilla K-Cups®. K-Cups are great for entertaining because it allows you to provide your guests with the perfect cup of Starbucks coffee in a variety of flavors (Vanilla, Caramel) or their favorite Starbucks blend. Hot coffee at the push of a button.
Our menu will focus on foods that can be made/prepped the night before. You can’t be the hostess with the mostess if you’re frazzled so a make ahead menu with minimal cooking the morning of is a good idea. Here are some of the tasty treats we’re considering serving:
– Ham, Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata
– Brioche Vanilla Bean French Toast
– Poached Eggs in Tomato Sauce
– Panettone Bread Pudding
– Cheese, Fruit, Charcuterie
– Bellinis, Coffee, Juices
Throwing a party doesn’t have to be stressful OR break the bank. I love to mix and mingle things I already have in my house for an eclectic and relaxed look. Just remember to do your homework (planning and prep are key), stay true to your own style and enjoy the time with your family and friends and you’ll have a delicious and decadent party that everyone will remember for months to come.
Stay tuned for a follow up post next month where we’ll share the final party and there’s a little something in the way of a GIVEAWAY coming your way too!
